Charles King, of King Galleries in Scottsdale, Arizona and Santa Fe, New Mexico, is a nationally recognized specialist in American Indian pottery. For many years, Charles has worked closely with leading artists in the Southwest, including Virgil Ortiz, LuAnn Tafoya, Grace Medicine Flower, Tammy Garcia, Russell Sanchez, and Nathan Youngblood. Charles has been a judge at the Santa Fe Indian Market, Heard Museum Indian Market, and Gallup Intertribal Ceremonials. He has written books on Margaret Tafoya, Tony Da, Virgil Ortiz, and most recently, “Spoken Through Clay.”
