1The data for this table were compiled from several different surveys, which is why there are date ranges for each period. In addition, the upper Sand Canyon survey lumped sites between A.D. 1 and 930. I believe most, but not all, of these sites date to A.D. 600–750.

2Lower Sand Canyon data are from Adler and Metcalf (1991*1:27, Table 2) and Gleichman and Gleichman (1989*1:26-58).

3Upper Sand Canyon data are from Adler (1990*1:233, Table 3).
