Date Range 1 (A.D. 640–740)
The Switchback site generally dates to a single late Basketmaker III component between A.D. 640 and 740 with the primary residence (Pithouse 110) in use between A.D. 685 and 740. This date range is supported by three AMS dates, an archaeomagnetic date, and the ceramic assemblage.
