General Location
Arbitrary 103 is located in the central portion of the site.
Specific Location
Arbitrary 103 is the the area immediately over Structure 101-102-114.
Selection Criteria
Arbitrary 103 was used to designate the overburden and plowzone sediments resting on top of Structure 101-102-114.
Use
Arbitrary 103 defines post-occupational sediments as a result of agricultural activities in the area (plowzone).
Abandonment
The artifact assemblage dates from the Basketmaker III through the Pueblo II period indicating ancestral Pueblo occupation ended in the Pueblo II period.
Postabandonment Process
Arbitrary 103 has been used historically and recently as a wheat field and cattle pasture.
Dating of Construction
Based on the artifact assemblage, the sediments overlying Structure 101-102-114 date from the Basketmaker III through the Pueblo II period as a result of plowing activities post-occupation.

North-central part of site.
Area extending from Structure 102 north to the northern site boundary.
Selection Criteria
Judgmental. Area mechanically stripped to define the extent of the pithouse (Structures 101, 102, and 114)
Excavation Strategy
Full cut.
Unit Ends at
Other. Stripping ceased when the outline of the pithouse and other areas to the north were defined;essentially, stripping ceased at the base of the plow zone.
