Arbitrary 104 is the area directly over the midden.
Selection Criteria
Arbitrary 104 was used to designate the overburden and plowzone sediments overlying possible midden. 1-x-1-m units excavated to test possible midden.
Use
Arbitrary 104 defines post-occupational sediments as a result of agricultural activities in the area (plowzone).
Abandonment
The artifact assemblage dates from the Basketmaker III through the Pueblo II period indicating ancestral Pueblo occupation ended in the Pueblo II period.
Postabandonment Process
Arbitrary 104 has been used historically and recently as a wheat field and cattle pasture.
Dating of Construction
Based on the artifact assemblage, the sediments date from the Basketmaker III through the Pueblo II period as a result of plowing activities post-occupation.
