Arbitrary Unit 108, not further specified
About this Nonstructure
General Location
Arbitrary 108 is located in the northern portion of site.
Specific Location
Arbitrary 108 is the area just north of Structure 101-102-114 investigating an electrical resistance anomaly.
Selection Criteria
Arbitrary 108 was used to designate the disturbed cultural fill with decreased charcoal and ash inclusions, but increased calcium carbonate as compared to ARB 107, identified in 2-x-2-m units investigating an electrical resistance anomaly north of Structure 101-102-114.
Use
Arbitrary 108 is a mix of cultural debris and native sediment as a result of animal disturbance.
Abandonment
The artifact assemblage dates from the Basketmaker III through the Pueblo II period indicating ancestral Pueblo occupation ended in the Pueblo II period.
Postabandonment Process
A series of animal burrows stretched across the study unit that later filled with cultural deposits likely from surrounding structures and features.
Dating of Construction
Based on the artifact assemblage, the sediments date from the Basketmaker III through the Pueblo II period as a result of animal disturbance post-occupation.
