Arbitrary Unit 105, noncultural
About this Nonstructure
General Location
Arbitrary 105 is located in the northwest portion of the site.
Specific Location
Arbitrary 105 is northwest of Structure 108.
Selection Criteria
Arbitrary 105 defines post-occupational deposits, mixed with sandstone rubble, from bulldozing activity.
Use
Arbitrary 105 is a mix of post-occupational wind-blown deposits, and sanstone rubble, likely from the roomblock associated with Structure 108. The roomblock is no longer present at the site, lending to the interpretation that it was the origin for the rubble pile that comprises Arbitrary 105. Further, the rubble pile's long axis was oriented north-to-south; roomblock long axes are oriented west-to-east. Given the evidence, it is reasonable to assume the deposit making up Arbitrary 105 was originally the roomblock associated with Structure 108.
Abandonment
The artifacts in Arbitrary 105 dated from the Pueblo II period. However, Arbitrary 105 is a disturbed deposit and the artifacts therein did not originate in their current location. Nevertheless, no artifacts were deposited at this site after the Pueblo II period.
Postabandonment Process
Wind-blown loess and bulldozing activity contributed to the rubble piling comprising Arbitrary 105.
