Location
5-x-5 meter grid unit 747.5N 2185.5E.
Northwest portion of the site.
Northwest of Structure 113.
Selection Criteria
Judgmental. The 5-x-5-m unit was used to investigate a geophysical anomaly.
Excavation Strategy
Full cut. After determining that the sediment through which we were digging was disturbed, two trenches were excavated to sterile sediment. One trench was excavated on the north end of the 5-x-5-m unit, and ran east-west. The other trench was excavated through th
Unit Ends at
Other. Sterile, native sediment was encountered in the northern trench, and in the south end of the trench dug through the middle of the unit. Excavation was terminated at this point, and an auger was used to confirm that the underlying sediment was sterile, na
