1.6-x-1-m unit judgmentally selected to test Structure 143, a masonry surface room.
Use
Nonstructure 156 is an extramural surface from which two pit features (Features 1 and 2) were excavated into undisturbed native sediments either in the Late Pueblo II or Early Pueblo III period. The exact period of use in unknown because there is no pottery associated with Nonstructure 156.
Abandonment
Nonstructure 156 was no longer used by the Late Pueblo II or Early Pueblo III when Nonstructure 187 was deposited above this surface.
Postabandonment Process
Nonstructure 187 covered Nonstructure 156 either in the Late Pueblo II or Early Pueblo III period.
Dating of Construction
This surface was most likely used in the Late Pueblo II period or Early Pueblo III period.
