Use
Nonstructure 179 is an extramural surface from which a posthole was excavated. It is unclear if Nonstructure 179 was part of a larger structure.
Abandonment
Nonstructure 179 fell out of use when Nonstructure 199 refuse was deposited in the Late Pueblo II or Early Pueblo III periods.
Postabandonment Process
Nonstructure 199 refuse covered Nonstructure 179.
Dating of Construction
Nonstructure 179 most likely dates from the Late Pueblo II or Early Pueblo III period. This inference is based on refuse deposits (Nonstructure 165, a Late Pueblo II or Early Pueblo III deposit) into which a posthole, Feature 1, was excavated. The posthole was covered with Nonstructure 199 refuse which dates to the Late Pueblo II or Early Pueblo III period as well.
