1-x-2-m unit placed to expose the masonry of the north wall of the great house.

Use

Nonstructure 9023 is an extramural surface from which the pit for Structure 137 was excavated. The surface most likely dates from the Late Pueblo II or Early Pueblo III periods. This inference is based on the approximate construction of Structure 137.

Abandonment

Nonstructure 9023 was no longer used after the construction of Structure 137 by the Early Pueblo III period.

Postabandonment Process

Nonstructure 9024 refuse covered this surface after it was no longer used.
