Use
Assumed to have been used for a variety of outdoor activities by the inhabitants of Kiva Suite 103. A variety of artifacts and features were present, including two extramural walls. Walls might have been boundary markers or for runoff diversion.
Abandonment
Structure inferred to have been abandoned as a result of an attack in which many of the villagers were killed and that ended occupation of the village.
Postabandonment Process
Courtyard was covered naturally by wall fall from roomblock and by alluvial, colluvial and aeolian deposits.
Dating of Construction
No construction dates for this entire suite, but assumed to have been used during the one defined occupation of the site (A.D. 1256-1285).
Dating of Remodeling
No dating of the remodeling of the surface.
Dating of Abandonment
Inferred to have been abandoned when occupation of the village ended--sometime after A.D. 1274.
