This surface represents an extramural use area in which a fire pit (Nonstructure 106, Feature 1) was constructed.

No evidence of abandonment.

Postabandonment Process

Surface was covered by natural sediments and was disturbed by plowing.

Dating of Construction

No data on when this study unit was constructed. Fill in 1-x-1-m unit 513N 482E (located southwest of Nonstructure 106) was dated to the Pueblo III period. Therefore, Nonstructure 106 may also date from the Pueblo III period.
