Selection Criteria

Segment placed adjacent to Backhoe Trench 112 to sample Structure 124 and Nonstructure 126 and Nonstructure 129 deposits evident in profile.

Use

This is an extramural surface from which a fire-pit (Feature 1) was excavated.

Abandonment

This surface was no longer used after the late Pueblo II period.

Postabandonment Process

Natural sediments covered the surface after it fell out of use.

Dating of Construction

Based on pottery data, this surface was used during the late Pueblo II period.
