Use

This is an extramural surface from which three features were excavated. Features 2 and 3 (both pits) were remodeled to create a smaller pit, Feature 1. The function of the pits is unknown.

Abandonment

This surface was probably not used after the early Pueblo III period (based on the presence of Mancos Black-on-white pottery). Five sherds were present on the surface at abandonment (1 Indeterminate Local Gay, two late White Unpainted, and two Mancos Black-on-white).

Postabandonment Process

Natural sediments accumulated above the surface and pits after they were no longer used. The upper portions of this fill was disturbed by plowing.
