General Location

Central portion of site.

Specific Location

East-central portion of Block 200; within 1-x-1-m unit 516N 584E.

Selection Criteria

Placed immediately east of Backhoe Trench 212 to investigate a pit feature exposed in the east face of the trench.

Use

This is an extramural surface from which a pit feature (Feature 1) was excavated.

Abandonment

It is unknown when the surface was no longer used (probably sometime in the Pueblo II period). After it was no longer used, natural sediments accumulated in the pit feature and on the surface.

Postabandonment Process

Natural sediments accumulated in the pit and on the surface; the upper portions were disturbed by plowing.

Dating of Construction

Based on pottery data, this surface was used during the Pueblo II period.
