Nonstructure 250, extramural surface
About this Nonstructure
General Location
Central portion of site.
Specific Location
West-central portion of Block 200; 509N 541E.
Selection Criteria
Placed south of Structures 222 and 223 to sample associated midden deposits. Exposed Nonstructure 250.
Use
This is an extramural surface on which a masonry wall, Feature 1 (wall, other) was constructed. This wall was truncated by plowing, therefore it was unclear if this was once part of a structure.
Abandonment
This surface was no longer used after the late Pueblo II period.
Postabandonment Process
Secondary refuse (Nonstructure 238) was deposited above this surface. Natural sediments accumulated above the refuse; the upper deposits were disturbed by plowing.
Dating of Construction
Secondary refuse, Nonstructure 238, was deposited above this surface and dates from the late Pueblo II period. Therefore, this surface must date from the Pueblo II period.
