Dating of Abandonment

There are late Pueblo II and Pueblo III sherds in the disturbed midden (Nonstructure 2501) that rests on this surface. The latest type of sherd found in that midden is Mesa Verde Black-on-white, so at least some artifacts in the midden were deposited after A.D. 1180.
