General description
Feature 2 is an extramural pit between Pithouses 312-324 and 309.

Excavation procedure
Segment 1 was excavated as a full cut. A 2-liter flotation sample and a pollen sample were collected from the fill; the rest was screened with 1/8" mesh.
Portion excavated
Segment 1 of the feature was excavated (approximately the southern half).
Horizontal location
Northeast portion of 2-x2-m unit 1423N 496E.
Vertical location
Surface 1 (top elevation at 100.19 m, bottom elevation at 99.85 m).
Construction
A basin-shaped pit was excavated into the undisturbed native sediment of Nonstructure 326 (Surface 1).

Feature 3 is a shallow extramural pit between Pithouses 312-324 and 309.

Excavation procedure
Segment 1 was excavated as a full cut. One 2-liter flotation sample and one pollen sample were collected from the fill. No sediment was screened because the feature was so shallow. One gray ware sherd was recovered.
Portion excavated
Approximately the western third of the feature was excavated.
Horizontal location
Southeast corner of 2-x2-m unit 1423N 496E.
Vertical location
Surface 1 (top elevation at 100.15, bottom elevation at 100.08).
