Use history
Feature 1 moderately sized posthole. The feature eventually refilled with midden deposits.

The entire feature was excavated.
Horizontal location

General description
Feature 2 is a moderately sized extramural pit in Block 400.
Use history
The function of the feature cannot be determined however its association with Posthole 1 and the small upright sandstone along the upper edge of the feature suggests it may have been a posthole.
Associated features
Possibly Posthole 1.
Excavation procedure
Feature 2 was bisected into north and south halves. The north half was excavated in a full cut with a trowel. The resulting profile was mapped, and then the south half was also excavated in a full cut with a trowel. One two-liter flotation sample was collected from the fill; the rest of the fill was screened with 1/8" mesh.
Portion excavated
The entire feature was excavated.
Horizontal location
Southwest quadrant of 2-x2-m unit 1463N 468E.
Vertical location
Surface 1.
Construction
A pit was dug into the sterile, preoccupational deposit. A small piece of sandstone was propped along the upper edge. The feature eventually refilled with construction material.
Remodeling/ modification
No
Degree of preservation
Minimal bioturbation was present.
