Surface 2; wall rests on a large conglomerate boulder and in redeposited sterile deposits (Stratum 1 in PD record; Stratum B on Map 170).
Construction
Part of exposed wall was built on spoil dirt that was discarded when constructing a kiva (Structure 7); other part of exposed wall was built on top of a large conglomerate boulder; boulder was probably in this area prior to construction, but it is possible that is was moved to serve as a footer to the wall; unshaped stones were laid flat and stacked on top of one another in an uncoursed manner without the use of mortar; see masonry form for architectural details.
