Excavation procedure
All of the feature (Segment 1) within the 1-x-1-m unit was excavated with a trowel in 10 cm levels; all sediment was screened with a 1/4 inch screen.

All of the feature (Segment 1) within the 1-x-1-m unit (476N 552E).
Horizontal location
In most of the 1-x-1-m unit 476N 552E except for the northwest and northeast corners.
Vertical location
Top of pit feature is at Surface 1 or 97.45 m.

A round, basin-shaped pit was excavated into undisturbed native sediment from Surface 1; the pit was not prepared in any way.

The northern portion (probably half) was exposed and excavated.

In the southwestern portion of 1-x-1-m unit 476N 552E.
Vertical location
Top of feature is Surface 2 or approximately 97.05-97.07 m. Bottom of feature is at approximately 96.72 m.
