General description
Basin-shaped pit excavated into undisturbed native sediments.
Use history
Due to lack of internal features, function of pit is unknown; pit was used for refuse deposition after it was no longer used for its original purpose.

Excavation procedure
The portion of the feature, Segment 1, within 1-x-1 m unit 471N 540E was excavated in a single level with a trowel and screened with a 1/4 inch screen.

Horizontal location
Northeastern corner of 1-x-1 m unit 471N 540E.
Vertical location
Approximately 40 cm from the modern ground surface to top of feature.
