General description
Round, basin-shaped pit.
Use history
The original function of the pit is unknown due to a lack of distinguishing characteristics; the pit was filled with secondary refuse after it was no longer used for its original purpose.

Excavation procedure
The eastern portion of the pit was excavated with a trowel and brush in a full cut; fill was screened with a 1/4 inch screen.

Eastern portion of the pit; approximately 1/3 of feature.
Horizontal location
In western portion of 1-x-1-m unit 516N 499E.
Vertical location
Top of pit is at Surface 1, or 97.57 m; bottom of pit is at 97.27 m.
Construction
A round, basin-shaped pit was excavated from Surface 1 into undisturbed native sediment; the pit was not modified in any way.
