General description
Burial pit prehistorically excavated into Surface 1 (PD 1948, Nonstructure 1117).

Burial pit is located in the southwestern corner of 2-x-2-m unit 628N 362E.
Vertical location
Burial pit is located approximately 30-35 cm below modern ground surface.
Construction
The burial pit was excavated from Surface 1 into undisturbed native sediments; the remains were interred and a large sandstone slab was placed over them. Because of the proximity to plow zone, the sandstone slab broke into three pieces from disturbance.

Unknown due to a lack of excavation. Remains were most likely interred within a burial pit (Nonstructure 1117, Feature 1) excavated into undistrubed native sedimetn and covered with sandstone slabs and sediment.
