Nonstructure 225, midden

About this Nonstructure

No Surface
No Masonry

General Location

Southwest portion of the site.

Specific Location

Nonstructure 225 is adjacent to and overlays Structure 205-226.

Selection Criteria

Excavation units were used to investigate a remote-sensing anomaly. First, the outline of the pithouse was exposed in 2-x-2-m units. Second, the north half of the structure chamber's were excavated in quadrants.

Use

Nonstructure 225 is a thin Basketmaker III era midden deposited above and around Pithouse 205-226.

Abandonment

Its presence suggests that occupation continued at the site after the Pithouse 205-226 was abandoned.

Postabandonment Process

Arbitrary 202 was deposited through natural processes (wind and water) over Nonstructure 225.
