Specific Location

Structure 231 is about 13 m south of Structure 205-226.

Selection Criteria

A 3-x-1 m unit was excavated to investigate a pithouse found with systematic augering.

Use

Nonstructure 242 is undisturbed native sediment and the surface into which Structure 231 was excavated.

Postabandonment Process

Nonstructure 229 was deposited through natural process (wind and water) into the depression left by Structure 231; Arbitrary 235 was deposited by chaining and burning activities over the top of Nonstructure 229, 242, and Structure 231.

Dating of Midden

No ceramics.

1-x-3 meter grid unit, long axis oriented north-south 1354N 487E.
Southwest quarter of the site.
Located in the southwest quarter of Block 200, approximately 14 m south of Structure 205.

Selection Criteria

Judgmental. This unit was selected to test Structure 231.

Excavation Strategy

Strata subdivided into arbitrary levels. Strata were subdivided into 25-cm arbitrary levels through construction material.

Unit Ends at

Structure floor. Excavation was terminated on the structure floor (Surface 1) at an elevation of approximately 97.26 m. Features 1 and 2 were associated with Surface 1.
