Specific Location
Nonstructure 109 is southeast of Structure 106.
Selection Criteria
1-x-1-m units were used to investigate a midden deposit.
Use
Nonstructure 109 was used to document an extramural use-surface.
Abandonment
Based on the pottery, Nonstructure 109 was no longer used after Structure 106 was decommissioned.
Postabandonment Process
Natural processes (wind and water) contributed to the post-occupational accumulation.

Southeast quarter of the site.
Located in the southwest portion of Nonstructure 101, roughly 18 m southeast of pit structure (Structure 106).
Selection Criteria
Random. Second 1-x1-m unit selected for excavation in Nonstructure 101.
Excavation Strategy
Natural strata.
Unit Ends at
Undisturbed native sediment. Fill continued into Nonstructure 109 Feature 3. Undisturbed native sediment was encountered below Feature 3 at 83.97 m; the prehistoric ground surface was located at approximately 84.10 m.

Located in the west-central portion of Nonstructure 101, roughly 15 m southeast of pit structure (Structure 106).

Random. Third 1-x1-m unit selected for excavation in Nonstructure 101.

Natural strata.
Unit Ends at
Undisturbed native sediment. Fill continued into Nonstructure 109 Features 1 and 2. Undisturbed native sediment was encountered below Features 1 and 2 at 83.73 m and 83.85 m respectively; the prehistoric ground surface was located at approximately 84.04 m.
