Selection Criteria

1-x-2-m unit judgmentally placed to test a masonry surface room.

Use

Nonstructure 154 was deposited in the Late Pueblo II period. Pottery ratios from the fill are 10:1 Mancos to McElmo Black-on-white. This deposit may have been intentionally deposited as a platform for the construction of the great house core, which includes Structure 141 located above this deposit.

Abandonment

Nonstructure 154 refuse was no longer deposited when Structure 141 was constructed in the Late Pueblo II period.

Structure 141 was constructed above Nonstructure 154 deposits in the Late Pueblo II period.

Dating of Midden

Nonstructure 154 refuse was deposited in the Late Pueblo II period.
