1-x-2-m unit judgmentally placed to test a masonry surface room, Structure 146.
Use
Nonstructure 162 secondary refuse was deposited in the Early Pueblo III period. It is unclear if refuse was deposited as a construction platform for Structure 146 or if it was discarded by the residents occupying Structure 113, a kiva to the north.
Abandonment
Secondary refuse was no longer discarded in the Early Pueblo III period when Structure 146 was constructed.
Postabandonment Process
Structure 146 was constructed above Nonstructure 162 deposits.
Dating of Midden
Nonstructure 162 secondary refuse was deposited in the Early Pueblo III period.
