Selection Criteria
1-x-2-m unit judgmentally placed to expose the exterior east face of Structure 148. After excavation began, it was clear that this unit was placed in the interior of Structure 148.
Use
Nonstructure 164 was deposited in the Late Pueblo II period. Mancos Black-on-white pottery dominate this assemblage with a small amount of McElmo Black-on-white pottery mixed in. This fill may have been intentionally deposited as a platform for the construction of the great house core, which includes the west wall of Structure 148.
Abandonment
Nonstructure 164 was no longer deposited when the great house core was constructed in the Late Pueblo II period.
Postabandonment Process
The great house core was constructed on Nonstructure 164 in the Late Pueblo II period.
Dating of Midden
Nonstructure 164 was deposited in the Late Pueblo II period.

Fill continued. Fill continued below Structure 148 into Nonstructure 164, Nonstructure 198, Nonstructure 167, Structure 166, and Structure 160.
