Northwestern portion of Architectural Block 100; below Structure 143 and 153; above Nonstructure 156; 497.7N 499.1E.
Selection Criteria
1.6-x-1-m unit judgmentally selected to test a masonry surface room, Structure 143.
Use
Nonstructure 187 is cultural fill located below the north, west, and south masonry walls of Structure 153. It is unknown if Nonstructure 187 was intentionally deposited to create a platform for the construction of Structures 153 and 143 or if it was deposited as refuse by nearby residents.
Abandonment
Nonstructure 187 was no longer deposited in the Late Pueblo II or Early Pueblo III period when Structures 143 and 153 were constructed.
Postabandonment Process
Structures 143 and 153 were constructed above Nonstructure 187.
Dating of Midden
Nonstructure 187 was deposited in the Late Pueblo II or Early Pueblo III period.
