West-central portion of Architectural Block 100; below Nonstructures 171 and 172; 493.1N 492.6E.
Selection Criteria
1-x-2-m unit judgmentally placed to test a masonry surface room, Structure 145.
Use
No pottery was collected from this deposit. Nonstructure 193 refuse was most likely deposited in the Late Pueblo II or Early Pueblo III period. Nonstructure 169, located below Nonstructure 193, dates from the Late Pueblo II or Early Pueblo III period and Nonstructures 171 and 172, located above Nonstructure 193, was deposited in the Early Pueblo III period.
Abandonment
Nonstructure 193 was no longer deposited after the Early Pueblo III period.
Postabandonment Process
Nonstructures 171 and 172, extramural surfaces, were constructed above this deposit.
Dating of Midden
Nonstructure 193 refuse was deposited in the Late Pueblo II or Early Pueblo III period.
