Fifteen 1-x-1-m units randomly selected for excavation in Nonstructure 901 to sample midden deposits.
Use
Secondary refuse deposited by residents living in nearby structures (Structures 903 and 904).
Abandonment
Pottery data indicates that refuse was not deposited after the Early Pueblo III period.
Postabandonment Process
Natural sediments accumulated above the secondary refuse deposits.
Dating of Midden
Nonstructure 901 was deposited during the Late Pueblo II period to the Early Pueblo III period.
