General Location
Northwestern portion of site.
Specific Location
Southwestern portion of Block 1100; southeast of Structure 1106.
Selection Criteria
2-x-2-m units, 628N 364E, 628N 362E, and 630N 362E were placed southeast of Structure 1106 to sample associated midden deposits. All units encountered intact secondary refuse deposits (Nonstructure 1109).
Use
Disposal of secondary refuse by residents from a nearby roomblock during the early Pueblo III period.
Abandonment
Secondary refuse was no longer discarded in this area after the earlyPueblo III period.
Postabandonment Process
Natural sediments accumulated above Nonstructure 1107.
Dating of Midden
Secondary refuse was deposited during the early Pueblo III period.
