6 m southwest of the great tower bi-wall structure.

Selection Criteria

This surface was encountered during testing to further define an extramural wall along the west edge of the great tower complex.

Use

Outdoor use surface associated with the construction of a wall that formed the western boundary of an outdoor use area at the west end of this architectural block. This surface might thus have been used as a surface for work activities, or for social or religious gatherings.

Abandonment

Surface abandoned as a use surface when refuse accumulated on it.

Postabandonment Process

Sediment was deposited naturally above the refuse, and the uppermost portion of Feature 1 (wall:other) collapsed.
