Abandoned when occupation of this area ended.

Postabandonment Process

Upper portion of this midden was mixed by recent looting activities.

Dating of Midden

Midden contains both Pueblo II and Pueblo III sherds. However, the presence of Mesa Verde Black-on-white pottery in the lowermost, undisturbed layer of the deposits indicates that people began depositing this refuse after A.D. 1180.
