South part of the site.

Specific Location

Just north of the north wall of the roomblock in Architectural Block 300.

Selection Criteria

Encountered during testing to expose the outside face of the north wall of each roomblock.

Use

Area was used for the deposition of refuse, probably by the residents of the adjacent roomblock.

Abandonment

Abandoned when occupation of this area ended.

Postabandonment Process

Covered by naturally deposited sediments and wall fall.

Dating of Midden

The presence of Mesa Verde Black-on-white sherds in this midden and in midden deposits beneath this midden indicate that this upper refuse was deposited sometime after A.D. 1180.
