Specific Location

Southwest corner of excavated portion of block; just outside, and south of, the courtyard (Nonstructure 513) retaining wall (just over the wall from Structure 514).

Use

Used for the disposal of domestic refuse; midden contains many and varied artifacts, indicating that it is refuse from permanent habitation.

Abandonment

Abandoned effected by the abandonment of the kiva suite, probably when the occupation of the village ended.
