Shanna Diederichs

Architectural Conservator and Vice President at Woods Canyon Archaeological Consultants

Shanna Diederichs is a fourth generation Coloradan raised and shaped by the landscapes and history of the West. She is an Architectural Conservator and Vice President at Woods Canyon Archaeological Consultants with more than 22 years of professional experience in archaeological survey, excavation, architectural documentation, and stabilization.

Shanna’s work includes supervising Crow Canyon Archaeological Center’s multi-year Basketmaker Communities Project, serving as an architectural illustrator for New York University at Abydos, Egypt, documenting 5,000-year-old monuments, and prior service with Mesa Verde National Park and Aztec Ruins National Monument. With an M.A. from Northern Arizona University and a broad background in research, site conservation, and public education, she aims to help people appreciate and imagine cultural landscapes of the past.
