Jonas grew up on the Front Range and earned a Bachelors in Archeology from Colorado State University (CSU) in 2014. He had been drawn to southwest Colorado since his dad took him on a skiing trip as a kid. In 2016, Jonas decided to leave Denver in the rear view mirror. Three years later, he was accepted to the Master of Education program at Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO. He completed his graduate program while working for Bayfield School District as a high school teacher in a project based program. He is in his dream position combining his two passions of archeology and education. He is dedicated to providing an immersive experience at Crow Canyon so that everyone has access to the stories of this land and its people. Outside of work he loves to ski, golf, hike, cook and spend time with his wife Brittany.
