Jessica Lomatewama is from the Hopi village of Hotevilla. She is an artist who specializes in the Third Mesa-style of basket making, an art she has been practicing for 40 years. Jessica gathers her materials from the area around Hopi and prepares them for weaving. She uses three different types of materials: the dunebroom plant is used for the frame of the basket, rabbitbrush is the weaving material, and narrowleaf yucca is used to finish the edge of the basket.
