Dr. James Potter has over 30 years of experience in Cultural Resource Management (CRM) as a field director and Principal Investigator throughout the Western United States. He has published numerous monographs and peer-reviewed articles in top journals on his work as a CRM archaeologist and is currently the co-director of Crow Canyon’s CRM field school. He also serves as a board member for Crow Canyon, Senior Advisor for Chronicle Heritage—a large CRM firm operating both domestically and internationally—and editor of American Antiquity, the premier journal for American archaeology.
