Nonstructure 110, extramural surface
About this Nonstructure
General Location
Nonstructure 110 is located in the southeast portion of the site.
Specific Location
Nonstructure 110 is under Nonstructure 106, and is the surface of Arbitrary 107.
Selection Criteria
Nonstructure 110 was identified in one of the randomly-selected midden excavation units.
Use
Nonstructure 110 is an extramural use-surface into which two pit features were dug. This interpretation is based on the fact that two pit features were identifed as originating on the pre-occupational deposit.
Abandonment
Based on the Pueblo II pottery found here, Nonstructure 110 was no longer used after the Pueblo II period. The pit features associated with this use-surface filled with Nonstructure 106 midden deposits, suggesting they were dug prior to the midden being deposited.
Postabandonment Process
Modern plowing activities affected the deposits above Nonstructure 110, and may have bladed off the upper few centimeters of Nonstructure 110, but pit features were not affected. Nonstructure 106, the midden, was deposited over Nonstructure 110.
