Lower west side; base of talus slope near canyon bottom. East-southeast of Nonstructure 1-N.
Specific Location
Upper half of 1-x-1-m 311N 508E (EU 6).

Part of Nonstructure 5-N testing; see Nonstructure 5-N and associated EU for description and explanation of testing strategy.
Use
Natural surface from which a pit (Feature 1) was constructed.
Abandonment
Probably abandoned as part of the abandonment of the canyon bottom.
Postabandonment Process
Covered by postoccupational alluvail and eolian deposits and wall fall.

Not applicable.
Dating of Abandonment
Thought to have been abandoned when the canyon bottom was abandoned, as there are no later cultural deposits resting above this surface.

Near southeast boundary of Nonstructure 5. South of a dense cluster of architecture, including Structure 3. A possible kiva depression and possible kiva retaining wall are located immediately north of this unit.

Random. Second unit to be selected by random means for testing in Nonstructure 5.
