1-x-2-m unit judgmentally placed to test a masonry surface room, Structure 145.
Use
No pottery was collected from this deposit. Nonstructure 171 is an extramural surface from which a pit feature (Feature 1) was excavated into Nonstructure 193 deposits during the Early Pueblo III period.
Abandonment
Nonstructure 171 was no longer used in the Early Pueblo III period when Structure 145, Surface 1 sealed the extramural surface.
Postabandonment Process
Structure 145 was constructed on this surface.
Dating of Construction
Nonstructure 171 most likely was used in the Early Pueblo III period. This inference is based on pottery found below this surface in Nonstructure 193 and the construction date of Structure 145 above this surface.
