Selection Criteria

1-x-2-m unit placed to expose masonry on the north wall of the great house. Arbitrary 122, Nonstructure 123, and Nonstructure 9016 deposits are located above Nonstructure 9017.

Use

Nonstructure 9017 is an extramural surface from which a pit feature (Feature 1) was excavated into undisturbed native sediment in the Late Pueblo II period. There is no pottery associated with this surface.

Abandonment

Nonstructure 9017 was in use until Nonstructure 9016 was deposited on the surface.

Postabandonment Process

Nonstructure 9016 was deposited on Nonstructure 9017 in the Late Pueblo II period.

Nonstructure 9017 was used in the late Pueblo II period.

Excavation Strategy

Strata subdivided into arbitrary levels. Excavated in 10 cm levels. Secondary refuse deposits (Nonstructure 123) were encountered at approximately 98.09 m.
