The function of the pit is unknown due to a lack of distinguishing characteristics.

The entire feature was excavated with a trowel and a spoon in a full cut. Fill was screened with a 1/4 inch screen.

The entire feature was excavated.
Horizontal location
In northwest corner of 1-x-2-m unit 501.8N 487.2E.
Vertical location
Top of feature is at Surface 1, or approximately 97.39 m.
Construction
A round, basin-shaped pit was excavated from Surface 1 into undisturbed native sediment. The pit was not prepared in any way.
