General description
Basin-shaped pit excavated into undisturbed native sediments.
Use history
The function of the pit is unknown due to lack of internal characteristics; secondary refuse was deposited into the pit after it was no longer used for its original purpose.

Excavation procedure
All of feature exposed in 1-x-1 m unit 558N 504E, Segment 1, was excavated in 10 cm levels with a trowel and brush. Dirt was screened with a 1/4 inch screen.

Horizontal location
Southwestern portion of 1-x-1 m unit 558N 504E.
Vertical location
Top of pit is at approximately 98.34.
